Once again, Plurk (and Achariya) has led to a blogger challenge. We’re all going to give our individual takes on the Cambridge shirt from Armidi. With so many different styles and shapes and photography preferences and lighting choices and a million other variables, I really doubt you’ll see the shirt the same way twice.

Don’t worry about wearing the same thing as someone else. It just means the other person has good taste too. *grins* I love seeing people wearing things I already own because it inspires me to try new things and/or reminds me of other things buried in my inventory.

Winter Jefferson and Elusyve Jewell challenged the SL community to give some tribute to those who inspire, entertain, and/or educate us. I decided that I needed to write a little something about the first SL fashion blogger I ever added to my feed reader – Hethr Engle of Closet Crisis. She was also the star of my first SL fangirl moment when I ran into her and Violet Voltaire at a Deviant Kitties sale back in July or August of 2007. I became a fan of Closet Crisis because the outfits were always clearly displayed with accompanying slurls and because Hethr is a wizard at pulling together pieces from a range of different outfits and making them work.

In the spirit of paying homage to Hethr, I put together an outfit that picks up some of the things I associate with her and then tried to put my photos together in that iconic Closet Crisis style. When I think Hethr, I think blonde hair, hazel eyes, pink, bows, flats, and Violet Voltaire jewelry, so I worked with those elements to come up with the outfit below. Hethr, thank you for continuing to make fashion fun and accessible for all of us who love your way with outfits.

Rumors have been swirling about a bunny invasion on the fashion feeds. The first rule of bunny blogger week seems to be that we don’t actually talk about bunny blogger week so pay no attention to this paragraph or to Achariya‘s post about the same. I’ll simply agree with her that Plurk is the breeding ground for many fun ideas and move on to the clothing on this bunny.

I started with the idea of doing something that would avoid complete cute overload, which is a hard task when you start with an avatar as cute as this bunny, and I definitely knew I didn’t want to wear shoes because I love these paws and their pink pads. The first step was finding hair that adjusted well for the bunny head, and I chose Exile’s Axel dreadlocks in the blizzard shade. Then I just began adding purple and black until I ended up with a look that I liked. It’s a really simple casual look for when my bunny self is tired of the kawaii look and the big poofy lolita dresses that look so cute on her.
