2010 – The Future Is Now

by Brandy on January 18th, 2010 | →

Exile is participating in the Rezzable cyber couture fashion showcase called “2010 – The Future is Now”, and Kavar has designed 2 hairstyles that will only be available at the Greenies sim for the duration of the event. Both of these styles include some additional accessories to give you even more options. The male style Hax is a side-swept spiky look with a glowing blue eyepiece.

Laya starts with a base style that’s a poofy updo with straight fringe, something that reminds me of a variation of a geisha hairstyle, but then Kavar gives us a ton of accessories to go with the hair. The braids you see in the image here are an additional attachment as well as the pink fiber optic spray and a pair of thick lashes with a glowing swoop extending from the eyeliner. Depending on what accessories you use, you can create vastly different looks with Laya, and don’t forget to try mixing up the colors of the braids and the base style too for even more variety.

Who knew Amelia?

by Brandy on January 17th, 2010 | →

Kavar has just released 2 new styles for the women this week at Exile, but guys don’t feel left out because there will be something for you tomorrow at the opening of the Rezzable 2010 The Future is Now event. I’ll have more details about that in a later post. And yes, of course, there is also something there for us women that I’ll go on about in the next post. I’ll never complain about an abundance of hair.

Who Knew is a short tousled pixie cut perfect for showing off your favorite earrings or elf ears.

Amelia is a chin-length style with graduated face-framing layers that I think will appeal even to those of you who prefer longer locks.

from elegance to funk

by Brandy on January 7th, 2010 | →

Kavar has released 3 women’s hairstyles at Exile today to satisfy a range of tastes. Love Story 2 displays the same softness and grace that so many have loved in the original Exile Love Story updo, but this version is just a bit grander with thicker tendrils and a slightly off-center bun. If you like this style from the front, then I think you’ll love the back once you try a demo.

Karen is a long, wind-blown style with some short V-shaped fringe in the front.

Zoe is my personal favorite this week, a funky take on a double piggy bun style. From the adorable bouffant in the center of the style to the framing piggy buns with dreads and long hair exploding from them, this style is just funky and adorable all at once. Be sure to wear this one out dancing because watching it bounce around brings a smile to my face every time.
